"Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night" is a villanelle poem written by the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. The poem is known for its powerful and emotional expression of defiance in the face of death, calamities and the inevitability of mortality.

The poem's title and refrain, "Do not go gentle into that good night," suggest a call to resist passively fading away at the end of one's life, or simply, in difficult circumstances. Instead, the poet urges individuals to fight against death with vigor and intensity, regardless of their age or circumstances. The poem goes on to describe various types of people, including wise men, good men, wild men, and grave men, and how they should all "rage, rage against the dying of the light."

Arabic Calligraphy captures Dylan Thomas' esteemed work, in the shape of a stallion. The poem was translated from English to Arabic, Composed mid July 2021.
