Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī, commonly known as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic jurist, theologian, and mystic. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest poets in the Persian language and has had a profound influence on literature, philosophy, and spirituality.
